Early Life
Sheryl Kara Sandberg was born on August 28, 1969, in Washington, D.C., into a Jewish family. Her father was an ophthalmologist, and her mother was a French language college professor. At the age of two, Sheryl’s family relocated to North Miami Beach, Florida. She attended North Miami Beach High School, where she excelled academically and was actively involved in extracurricular activities.
