Early Life and Family Background
Shahnaz Husain was born on November 5, 1944, in Allahabad (now Prayagraj), Uttar Pradesh, India, into an influential and educated family. Her father, Justice Nasir Ullah Beg, served as Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court, and her uncle, Mirza Hameedullah Beg, was later Chief Justice of India. Growing up in an environment of academics and discipline, Shahnaz developed a passion for learning and innovation early in life.
She attended St. Mary’s Convent Inter College, where she excelled in her studies. After marriage, she moved abroad with her husband and began exploring natural health and beauty practices. This phase sparked her lifelong interest in Ayurveda and cosmetology.
Education and Training
While living in Iran, Shahnaz Husain formally studied Ayurveda—the ancient Indian system of herbal healing. She complemented this knowledge with professional training in cosmetology, skincare, and haircare at prestigious global institutions, including Helena Rubinstein, Christine Valmy, and Schwarzkopf. This rare combination of traditional knowledge and modern techniques would later define her entrepreneurial journey.
