Sarina Russo AM, an influential Australian-Italian businesswoman, was born in Sicily, Italy, and migrated to Australia with her family in 1956. Growing up in Australia, she attended St Stephen’s Primary School and later All Hallows’ School, where her passion for learning began to take shape.

Russo’s professional journey commenced as a legal secretary and part-time typing teacher. In 1979, she took a bold step by founding “The Office Business Academy,” a pioneering institution aimed at equipping young adults with essential business skills. Her innovative approach set her apart; she made a commitment that every student who graduated from her academy would secure a job, a promise she consistently delivered on.
In recognition of her exceptional entrepreneurial accomplishments, Russo was honored as the “2018 Champion of Entrepreneurship” by Ernst & Young for the Northern Region. By 2018, Sarina Russo Job Access had grown into a significant force in Australia, operating over 200 sites, employing more than 1,000 individuals, and positioning Russo at 12th on the BRW Women’s Rich List in 2015.
